Baseline and getting started

Well here goes nothing!

It's well past time for me to lose some weight and get myself into a more healthy state of being.  I've yo-yo'ed for the last five years, losing ten pounds, gaining twelve back, trying again . . .

What can I do to make it stick?  How do I change my mindset from my current reward system - Mexican food and couch time - to a healthier balance?

Here's a start.  With the help and encouragement of my sisters, Amie and Amanda, and dear and new friends Julie, Cassy, and Morgan, I'm changing it up.  I have two totally free days in Las Vegas to do as I please.  I started that time off in Sin City with a baseline workout that I'm embarrassed to say kicked my behind.

AMRAP - 7 minutes - 6 push ups, 9 sit ups, 12 air squats

I  made it through a sweaty, huffy 5 rounds.  Push ups were on my knees and sit ups had very questionable form. LAME.

However - I completed this workout at 10am on a day when I had nothing to do.  So score for getting it out of the way!

Most of all, top points for starting.  :)

Amie suggested a picture so that I can look back at my progress.  It's not pretty, but here it is.
